Senior Research Analyst
Term:
January 2010 - March 2012
Responsibilities:
The main focus is to develop and manage sensory and consumer studies and determine the impact of production practices (organic, sustainable and conventional) and region of origin (local, imports) on consumer perception of quality of horticultural products and wines.
In addition, the incumbent will design and implement experiments in response to contract research projects, prepare project reports and publications in peer-reviewed journals and assist with project logistics and administration.
Requirements;
Candidates must have an MSc in sensory science or consumer psychology or marketing studies or behavioural economics or a related discipline with at least two years of experience in experimental designs and best practices applied to sensory and consumer sciences
Note: this position is also an excellent Post Doctoral research opportunity for recent PH.D. graduates in similar disciplines.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills. Experience in conducting large scale consumer surveys (qualitative, quantitative, or experimental economics), knowledge of statistical techniques and sensory / statistical software together with a proven publication record are also required.
